What Is This Thing?

What is a "Dirty Pavano" you ask? Know what a "Dirty Sanchez" is? If not, Google it. But not at work. A "Dirty Pavano" (or DP as the kids call it) is a term I created (yeah me) last season during Pavano's wild mustache ride. Nice. This blog will allow me to use more opinion than I was able to as a columnist since everything falls on me and not my employer. Wish me luck.

The Man Behind The Blog

Matthew Whipps: I'm a baseball writer who used to have press credentials to cover the Twins during their playoff years. I say that only to brag. I have written for Baseball Daily Digest, MVN, Bloguin and was the lead writer covering the Texas Rangers on The Bleacher Report as well as having had my work featured on Sports Illustrated's site, MLB.com and The Hardball Times. I also have written my blog The Diamond Cutter for over four years. As you can see I've been around the block a time or two.
